Senior.

Next year, year of 2012-2013 I'm going to be a senior in high school. I'm very excited because I'm ready to start my life. I plan on taking classes next year that will benefit me in the cosmetology field. After my senior year I’d like to go to Harrold Beauty Academy in Terre Haute. During my senior year I want to play volleyball, track, and softball. Also, next year I’m going to participate in Coop. I’m doing that because I want to be able to come to school half a day and also work everyday to help me save up a little more money for college. Next year I was thinking about being in the play, because I’m interested in it. One of my biggest goals next year is to live it up and stay drama free. I want to make sure no drama occurs with me or anyone else, and I want to have fun. Next year I’m going to live life to my fullest with no regrets.

Volleyball.

I would have to say my favorite sport is Volleyball. Volleyball has been my favorite sport sense I started playing it in seventh grade. I think I like Volleyball so much because it's work learning how to play and it's difficult to learn what to do and specifically how to do it. I like to have a challenge in almost everything I do and Volleyball was one of my biggest challenges. I'm very competitive and Volleyball was something I enjoyed, it made me happy. I always looked forward to practice because I wanted to learn more and more about Volleyball and I just wanted to keep getting better and better. The thing I looked forward to the most is the games and tournaments. That was my favorite part of Volleyball because I loved getting pumped and ready for a game because I had so much confident. Volleyball is my sport. I love playing Volleyball so much it’s like my “happy place.” 

Summer of 2012 (:

The students who go to PCHS have about three weeks of school left. Then its summer break and I’m so excited! I have a lot of plans and things I want to do this summer. This summer I will have to work obviously, but when I’m not working I am going to go swimming, a lot with my friends and family. My family, friends, and I will probably have a lot of cook outs. Over the summer I’m going to Mississippi with my best friend for a week or two. I'm VERY excited for that mainly because I’m happy to get out of Paris and go on adventure on a little more of this world besides Paris Illinois. One thing I’m mainly excited about for this summer is getting a car. I haven’t gotten my first car yet, which I’m doing this summer and I’m so happy, I can’t wait. I have a lot of plans for this summer and I’m hoping this summer will be one I will always remember as a great memory.

Prom.

Prom is soon. I'm kind of excited but then again, not that excited. I'm a little nervous but not really that bad. Prom is something a girl gets stressed out about but I'm not because it's not that big of a deal to me. I just want to go and have fun with my friends. Prom is something that's fun, but I think it's something that gives teenagers a chance to make bad decisions also. That's just my opinion though. Theres a lot to do for prom, you have to get your dress, shoes, hair, nails, jewlery, etc. Prom sometimes cost a lot of money depending on what you want. I'm ready to go have fun with my friends at prom.

my favorite animal

My favorite animal is a dog. Dog's are adorable and they have a lot of special things about them. My favorite kind of dog is a lab. Most dogs are very smart and it's weird how smart they are. Like labs for example. Lab's are very smart about a lot of things, for an example when ever I get a piece of food and walk towards my lab he automatically sits down because he's wanting the piece of food I grabbed. I also love how playful dogs are when they are puppies. It makes my day every time. Dogs are also a good animal to have for protection and I really like that about them. There are many things to love about a dog and that's the reason why I love dogs so much and why they are my favorite animal.

Music.

What’s so great about music? There are many things about music that is great. There isn’t anything about music that isn’t good. Music does wonders for a human, by that I mean it sooths a person. Whenever I get mad or upset I listen to music and it helps me calm down and feel so much better. Usually country music works the best for me. Whenever someone makes me mad or upset I’ll play some of my favorite country music and I feel a lot better. It cheers me up. I’m sure everyone has their type of music that they like to listen to, to help them calm down and feel better. I believe that if music was never invented, everything would be very different today. I wouldn’t have a way to calm down whenever I get upset, that’s why I love music so much and that’s what’s so great about music.  

Fam[ily].

Family is something in your life you NEVER want to lose. Your family or even being able to have a family is something that's not only very special to have, its irreplaceable. Having a life’s worth memories with them isn’t something you can replace, being to different places and experiencing everything and life, you can’t replace any of that. Being able to come home after work, school, or other events, to a family that loves and cares about you is the best feeling in the world and losing that feeling will make you feel ill. By ill I mean, sick, frustrated all the time, and you’ll build up a lot of anger and the anger isn’t because of anyone else but yourself and that’s what makes it even worse. Losing your family make’s you so mad, upset, and disappointed at yourself and it’s not a good feeling. When times get hard and you feel like you don’t have anyone to turn to and you don’t want to do anything besides “runaway”. Rethink! Because when times get hard and you feel like you don’t have anyone to turn to and you just want to “runaway”, your family’s there. You may not know it and it might be hard but they really are there for you no matter what you think. When you get mad at your parents or your siblings and you want to “runaway” don’t because it will only make matters worse, take it from someone who’s experienced this, whose experiencing it at this exact moment. Even if you disagree, your family is all you got so don’t let a little anger get to you and force you to “runaway” and lose your family.

Cigarettes.

Why should cigarettes be abandoned? There are multiple reasons why cigarettes should be abandoned. They are very bad for your health, they yellow your teeth, and they turn your lungs black. Cigarettes are bad for your health because your health risks increase a little more with every drag. Even if you brush your teeth everyday three times a day, or seven times a day your teeth will still rot and turn yellow. The biggest problem with smoking cigarettes is your lungs. Not only will your lungs turn black and you have a very high risk of getting lung cancer, you can’t move like you can if you don’t smoke, and what I mean by that is you won’t be able to run, walk, or exercise as good if you smoke cigarettes. Those are all good reasons why people shouldn’t smoke and why cigarettes should be abandoned. Now, those are the health problems that may occur from smoking, and that’s not all that’s bad about smoking. When you smoke or you’re around your friends or family that smokes, it stinks. And it stinks really badly, your clothes and hair will reek of cigarette smoke and your breath will smell very bad. Also with every drag of a cigarette it pollutes the air with that nasty smoke and it’s just not healthy for anyone. That’s some more good reasons why cigarettes should be abandoned. I don’t think many people could fight this because there are no good in cigarettes at all, so don’t you think cigarettes should be abandoned too?

South Dakota.

I love going to South Dakota for vacation. South Dakota is a beautiful state and everything about it makes me want to go back even more. The thing I like the most about South Dakota is that the people there are so generous and kind no matter what, and I also like the neighborhood I was living in while I was there. South Dakota has a lot of different things to do to entertain yourself unlike here in Paris where there is absolutley nothing to do! In South Dakota there is a beautiful view everywhere you go, the hills, and the millions of acres of land you can just look at while your driving, I love it all. South Dakota is somewhere I would love to live at, it's so peaceful. Another thing about South Dakota I love is the resteraunts are very good. I love eating while i'm there. I've only stayed in South Dakota for a couple weeks, and i've lived in Paris my whole life and I'd rather live in South Dakota. I love South Dakota, and I can't wait until I'm "able" to go and live there.

Remi.

Remi is my dog. He's a black lab mixed with great pernice. Remi's all black except for one white paw. Remi is a very big dog and he's only ten months old, he weighs atleast 90 pounds. I got Remi last summer and ever sense the moment i got him i knew he was going to be my best friend. Remi and I did everything together and he was also very protective over me. Remi loves little kids, and he loves other animals. He enjoys having company over at our house. Remi listens very good. I've taught him a lot of tricks and he learned quickly. Remi's real name is Remington. I love Remi very much and i'm glad I have him as my dog.

TacoBell (:

Why should there be a taco bell in Paris Illinois? There are many reason's why there should be a taco bell in paris. Reason one: there aren't very many places to eat in paris and with everyone on lunch break, kids from school, people from work, we need more places to eat. Reason two: almost everyone i know loves taco bell, and thats a way for the taco bell company to make more money because i gaurentee a lot of people would go to taco bell if we had one in paris. Reason three: we need a taco bell in paris because a lot of people go to taco bell in terre haute, clinton, and many other places and with people who want to eat taco bell has to drive a ways just to get what they want and thats putting peoples lives at risk. Those are my three main reasons why i think we should have a taco bell in paris. I really love taco bell because their food is really good and they have a variaty of choices to choose from. Having a taco bell in Paris would also save a lot of gas for people who live in Paris. Those are some reason's why i think we should have a taco bell in Paris Illinois. What do you think?

You don't know what you got - 'till it's gone.

People take things they have for granted. Or, take advantage is another great word for it. When you take what you have for granted, or take advantage of it that means you have something that means a lot or something special and important and the person who has something special or important take advantage of it by doing wrong or not respecting it well enough. I’m not referring to anything specific. I’m talking about life in general, everything and everyone in it. Depending on the situation it could be a guy taking girls “love” for granted. It could be a girl taking advantage of a guy because he has “money”. It could be a girl being friends with another girl just to get a “ride” places. There are many things in life you could take for granted, and there are many things in life that a person could take advantage of. The main thing people should remember is life is too short, and you don’t know what you got, till it’s gone!

One Life - Forgive & Forget.

You only have one life, so live it up! Many people hold grudges, and don't forgive and forget. Everyone only has one life, so why should you waste your one life being upset or mad at someone, would using your only life be worth holding grudges? Mat 6:12 in the bible says "Forgive us the wrongs that we have done, as we forgive the wrongs others have done us." This quote means a lot because it's true and many people live off of that quote. Yes, its true people do wrong and make mistakes, but who doesn't? NO ONES PERFECT! Mistakes help make people who they become. If everyone's life was perfect and no one made mistakes, how would this world be today? No matter what the situation is, just remember you only have one life, so forgive and forget.

Best friends.

What's so great about having a best friend? There are many reasons why a person should have a best friend. The definition of "best friend" is someone who you're extremely close to, and can trust your life in their hands. It's always good to have a best friend so you have someone to go to when times are hard, also when something happens you know you can always trust to tell them anything, knowing they won't tell a soul. A best friend is someone who is always there for you when you need them, they won't hesitate to come running to help you in any way possible. A best friend is also good to have so you can vent to them. They make you feel like you're not alone and they are always there to give you the best advice they possibly can, and when you need a good laugh because you're feeling upset they are always there to make you laugh, and laugh with you. They always find a way to cheer you up, no matter if it's while you're just sitting there, going shopping, or going out to eat. They will never hesitate to find a way to make things better for you. The best thing about having a best friend is the memories that you'll have for the rest of your life.

Teenage Pregnancy.

So, what’s wrong with teenage pregnancy anyway? Teenage pregnancy, in my opinion, has become a bigger problem than it’s ever been in the past. The teenage pregnancy rate dropped a few years ago, but now it’s rising higher and higher each year. There are still an estimated one million teen pregnancies in the United States alone. 85 percent of teenage pregnancies are unplanned. Teenagers from the ages 13-19 aren’t mature enough to neither have nor raise a newborn baby. Teenagers also may not be able to provide the care a baby need’s, maybe no care at all. Some teenagers who become pregnant unintentionally may not know what to do, so they make bad decisions by getting an abortion, which in my opinion is totally wrong. Or they could have a miscarriage, accidentally or purposely. Abortion isn’t the answer to becoming pregnant only being a teenager; there are always other options such as adoption. Adoption is such a great program it doesn’t only help teenagers be able to live a normal life still, it also gives couples who are unable to have a baby the opportunity to have one. So with all the facts and things about teenage pregnancy, what do you think is wrong with teenage pregnancy?

Miranda Leigh Lambert.

Miranda Lambert is an American country music artist. She was born on November 10, 1983 in Texas, US. She's been singing her whole life, but she didn't become famous until she got third place on Nashville Star in 2003. She began her career by singing in restaurants with her father. Believe it or not, she didn't have a good life growing up. Her family struggled with multiple things. Miranda always told her dad she wanted to do something good with her life, and secretly she wanted to help her parents not struggle anymore but she never mentioned that to them. After her addition for Nashville Star she new she was finally doing something after all the times she tried and she knew eventually she would succeed but she wasn't sure when. Her first hit was "Me and Charlie Talking", it was on her 2005 debut album Kerosene. Miranda Lambert did what she said she was going to do by making something out of her life and it wasn't easy for her to do it but she finally done it. In the end after her child hood, and growing up struggling for things, everything worked out good and she became a famous country artist
